Ingredients
  

  • 8-10 oz strong brewed coffee (or 2 espresso shots + 6 oz water)
  • 2-3 tbsp caramel syrup
  • 4-6 oz whole milk
  • 1-2 tbsp caramel sauce

Equipment

  • Coffee maker or espresso machine
  • Small saucepan or milk frother
  • 16 oz coffee mug
  • Measuring spoons
  • Whisk or stirring spoon

Method
 

  1. Brew 8-10 ounces of strong coffee using your preferred method
  2. Heat milk in saucepan to 150-160°F, then froth until foamy
  3. Add caramel syrup to empty mug
  4. Pour hot coffee over syrup and stir for 10 seconds
  5. Slowly pour frothed milk into coffee
  6. Top with foam, drizzle caramel sauce, and add whipped cream if desired

  • Use both caramel syrup (for mixing) and caramel sauce (for topping) for best flavor
  • Adjust sweetness by starting with 2 tablespoons and adding more to taste
